Every year comes with unique challenges and 2022 was no exception. The retail industry has had to constantly pivot and evolve over the last few years—from excess inventory and labor shortages to continually high customer expectations and a looming recession. In a time of uncertainty, we saw our customers and teammates rise to the challenge.
Omnichannel shopping is here to stay. What started as a necessity during the pandemic is now the “new normal”. Consumers expect to have convenient shopping and fulfillment options. And retailers need to have visibility into all available-to-sell inventory and the ability to allocate it where needed.
We’ve seen our customers enhance their shopping experiences through marketplace selling, offering curbside pickup, and fulfilling a greater number of orders at their retail stores. As a result, they saw massive gains over the holiday season with a 57% lift in GMV on Black Friday year over year. We couldn’t be prouder to play a part in it all.

At a company level, we had another banner year. We continue to expand our library of technology integrations to give retailers access to the best ecommerce software providers.
One of our most anticipated integration launches of the year was our BigCommerce app, supported by our partner, Mira Commerce. Now, thousands of BigCommerce merchants can integrate Deck Commerce’s OMS app through the BigCommerce App Marketplace, giving them the ability to create end-to-end omnichannel experiences.
Our team continues to provide our customers with industry-leading order management expertise and innovation. We’ve got some exciting things on our 2023 product roadmap to provide direct-to-consumer retailers with even more ways to streamline their order management processes and create world-class customer experiences.
We’re looking forward to heading back out on the road in the new year to meet retailers face-to-face again. Our team will be at NRF in New York in January as well as exhibiting at Shoptalk in Las Vegas in March. We’d love to meet with you if you’re attending.
